Sagat Records 15 Kills As Flyers Sweep Drury

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Three Flyers recorded double-digit kills as Lewis swept Drury 30-20, 30-25, 31-29 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match Friday evening.

After leading the majority of game three, the Panthers were one point away from extending the match to a fourth game. But sophomore Stephanie Sagat registered three straight skills to give the Flyers the 31-29 victory and the match.

Sagat recorded a kill-dig double-double with 15 kills and 15 digs.

Sophomores Kim Richards and Sara deBuhr each recorded 12 kills.

Freshman Lauren Seliga and junior Lauren Hatter each recorded 18 digs. Hatter also added a career-high five service aces

Senior Andrea Morrone recorded 43 assists and four kills.

The Flyers swept the match despite being out-hit in games two (.262-.143) and three (.203-.171).

Drury out-blocked Lewis 7-3. Krystal Glessner and Court Hendrickson recorded 22 and 21 digs respectively for the Panthers.

The Flyers improved to 14-2 (6-1 GLVC) while the Panthers fell to 8-8 (2-5 GLVC).

Lewis faces Rockhurst on Saturday.
