SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Despite 15 kills by junior Stephanie Sagat, No. 22 UC San Diego took down No. 15 Lewis 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-20) on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match.

Sagat finished with a .438 hitting percentage and only one error. She also had five digs and once ace. The Flyers took set one with the help of an 11-4 run. Lewis hit .522 with only one error.

Game two was tight, with Lewis holding a 16-15 lead before UC San Diego finished with a 10-1 run. With the momentum at their back the Tritons took sets three and four to take the match.

Sophomore Rachel Ruedi had 28 assists, 10 digs and a kill. Junior Sara deBuhr hit .400 with five kills and three blocks (one solo). Freshman Colleen Mitros notched four digs and two aces.

For UC San Diego, Rebecca Bailey had 15 kills. The Tritons improve to 1-1 while the Flyers are now 1-2. Lewis plays Cal State San Bernardino later today.
