BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - Sophomore Kathryn Hague finished fourth (18:49.65) among 97 entrants in a 5,000 meters race at Bulldog Invite on Friday afternoon. She led a Lewis squad that came in sixth with 123 points, one shy of fifth and eight short of fourth.

Senior Becky Herbert was seconds away from a top 10 finish, taking 11th with a time of 19:28.85. Freshman Ashley Lucas was next, finishing in 34th and a time of 21:07.47. Freshman Julie Jarrett was behind Lucas, crossing the finish line at 21:08.99 for 35th. Sophomore Nicole Koutzas also ran for Lewis, finishing in 53rd with a time of 21:55.05.

University of Findlay took the competition with 35 points. Just in front of Lewis was Northwood (122 points).

The Flyers are back in action at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 27.
