Lewis Women's Swimming Falls To Hillsdale

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis women's swimming opened the 2011-12 home campaign on Saturday afternoon with a 128-65 setback to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Hillsdale.
 
Junior Angela Cusack (Willow Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) (Willow Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) took second in the 200 freestyle by touching the wall in 2:05.70. Freshman Katie Hallenbeck (Plano, Ill./Plano) (Plano, Ill./Plano) turned in a pair of second place finishes. She had a 4:49.05 time in the 400 IM and registered a 1:02.08 time in the 100 backstroke.
 
“It was nice to swim at home and Hillsdale has a very strong team,” head coach Roger Karns said. “We had some high points and we'll look to improve.”
 
The Flyers host William Jewell on Saturday at 11 a.m.
