Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's basketball team continues its trek through the Midwest Region, as the Flyers welcome Ferris State to Neil Carey Arena on Saturday (Nov. 19) afternoon at 3 p.m. to tip-off their home campaign.
Saturday's contest can be heard on WJOL (1340 AM), with Mark Vasko providing the play-by-play action for the Lewis Sports Network. The internet broadcast will be available close to 3 p.m. and the on-air broadcast will be tape delayed until around 5 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT - Lewis senior forward
Justin Jarosz (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) came off the bench and posted a double-double, tying a career-high with 22 points and adding 11 boards in the 87-53 win over Northern Michigan in the season-opener on Tuesday (Nov. 15) evening.
LAST TIME WE MET - Ferris State, led by Justin Keenan (25 points, 12 rebounds), went on a 9-2 run over the final four minutes to lift the Bulldogs to the 64-61 win over the Flyers on Nov. 20, 2010. Lewis forward

HOME OPENERS - Lewis is 5-0 in home opening contests during head coach

BENCH MOB - Lewis' bench, led by Jarosz's 22 points, accounted for 48 points in the win over Northern Michigan. That is the most points scored by the Flyer bench since they scored 59 in a 101-37 victory over Robert Morris (Springfield) on December 29, 2008.
GOOD GENES - Senior forward
Matt Toth (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) chose a different athletic path than his father Tom. Tom Toth played five years in the National Football League, including starting 12 games at right guard for Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins in 1987.
QUICK START - With a win over Ferris State, it would be the Flyers' first 2-0 start since the 2008-09 campaign.

EXPERIENCE MEET INEXPERIENCED - Lewis has five seniors with a combined 263 starts during their careers, while the Flyers will suit up seven freshmen this season.

Chris McClellan (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Wheeling) is the top returning free throw shooter in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, as he converted 88.9% (64-for-72) of his attempts in 2010-11.
1,000-POINT CLUB - McClellan needs 73 more points to reach 1,000 points for his career.
HONORING HIS BROTHER - Junior guard
David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.
CLOSE CALLS - During Trost's career at Lewis, the Flyers are 25-22 (.532) in games decided by five points or less, which accounts for 31.8% of the 148 games he has coached in.
CLEANING THE GLASS - Lewis' 47 rebounds against Northern Michigan was the most by a Flyer squad since they grabbed 48 in a 90-71 win over Purdue Calumet on December 22, 2009.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES - Lewis has had a double-double in each of their last two games, including last season's loss to Drury in the GLVC Quarterfinals. The last time Lewis has had three-straight games with a double-double came during the 2007-08 campaign when Stephan Bolt accomplished that feat in four consecutive contests.
