WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Junior Labrenthia Murdock (Round Lake, Ill./Round Lake) (Round Lake, Ill./Round Lake) had a team-high 15 points in Lewis women's basketball's 94-59 non-conference loss at No. 22 Central Missouri on Friday (Dec. 16) evening.
 
It was a single digit game for most of the first half before Central Missouri pushed their lead to double-digits in the final three minutes of the first. The Jennies turned their 14-point halftime advantage into a 24-point lead by scoring the second half's first 10 points.
 
Central Missouri controlled the game by shooting 55.4 percent (31-of-56) from the floor. The Jennies also found success at the free throw line, making their first 12 attempts and finishing 24-of-25.
 
Freshman Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) had six assists, the most in a game in her young career. Freshman Jess Reinhart (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) and sophomore Lauren Mead (Wauconda, Ill./Wauconda) (Wauconda, Ill./Wauconda) each added eight points for the Flyers.
 
Senior Devon Carbaugh (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) saw her first action of the season after missing the first eight games due to a shoulder injury.

"Defensively we weren't physical enough tonight," head coach Lisa Carlsen said. "Central is really good but we have to get things turned around and start improving again."
 
The Flyers fall to 3-6. Central Missouri improves to 8-2. Lewis is off until Dec. 30 when the Flyers play No. 7 Michigan Tech.
