Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University head women's tennis coach Brett Bridel announced on Monday (July 25) that he has inked Brianna Markgraff to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Flyers beginning in 2011. 

Markgraf brings an impressive pedigree to Romeoville, as she is a two-time sectional champion and state singles qualifier. She is also a solid doubles player, as she took home the sectional championship and advanced to the state finals as a sophomore.

"I am excited that Brianna has chosen to be a Flyer," Bridel said. "She will make an impact in our line-up from Day One.

"She is a very strong, athletic tennis player and I love her competitive attitude and fight," Bridel continued. "Brianna is a great student and young lady who will represent Lewis very well over the next four years."
