ALL TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 43-25 advantage over Saint Joseph's in their all-time series.

LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis junior forward Matt Toth (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) went 10-for-15 from the field, including a pair of treys, to finish with a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds to propel the host Flyers to the 83-57 GLVC win over Saint Joseph's on February 10, 2011.

LAST TIME OUT - Lewis senior point guard Chris McClellan (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Wheeling) posted a game-high 25 points, and the Flyer defense held UIndy to three field goals over the final 15 minutes of the contest to earn the 78-66 come-from-behind win over the No. 21 Greyhounds on Thursday (Jan. 26) night.

TOUGH SLEDDING - Lewis' six losses this season have come against teams that are a combined 85-22 (.794) for the 2011-12 campaign.

IN IT UNTIL THE END - The score was either tied or Lewis held a lead with under one minute left in three of the Flyers' six losses this season.

EXTRA EFFORT - Thursday's win over Indianapolis marked Lewis' second overtime win this season, which is the first time a Flyer squad has accomplished that feat since the 2007-08 campaign when they went 2-2. The last time Lewis won three overtime games came during the 1993-94 season.

HONORING HIS BROTHER - Junior guard David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.

HOME COOKIN' - Lewis has won seven-straight contests amid the friendly confines of Neil Carey Arena. The last time the Flyers won eight-straight home games came during the 2007-08 campaign, when they were victorious in their first 11 tilts.

HE'S NO SAMSON - Since cutting his trademark braids, senior forward Lonnie Lawrence (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) is averaging 8.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals-per-game in nine contests. Prior to that, Lawrence averaged 2.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals-per-game in nine contests.

50/50 - Lewis is 6-0 this year when they have a field goal percentage of 50.0% or better. Since the 2006-07 campaign, the Flyers have a record of 52-10 (.839) when they shoot over 50.0%.

NOT MY BROTHER - Senior forward Justin Jarosz (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) and freshman guard Jeff Jarosz (Lyons, Ill./Morton) are not related.

CLEANING UP THE GLASS - Freshman forward Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) is tops among GLVC freshmen with 5.2 rebounds-per-game.

POUNDING THE GLASS - Lewis is 14-3 (.824) when Toth leads the team in rebounding during his career.

PLAYING CLEAN - As of January 22nd, Lewis is ranked fifth in the nation, averaging 14.6 fouls-per-game.

GETTING TO THE LINE - Lewis has made more free throws (242) than their opponents have attempted (234).

FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Lewis is 22-8 (.733) since 2006-07 when they knock down at least 50.0% of their three-point attempts (min. 5 made).

FROM WAY DOWNTOWN (PART DEUX) - McClellan needs two more three-pointers to reach his 200th career trifecta. He currently sits in second-place in school-history for career three-pointers.

FROM WAY DOWNTOWN (PART TROIS) - McClellan has converted at least one three-pointer in
80 out of 104 possible games since 2008.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis has held nine opponents this season to under 60 points, which is the most by a Flyer squad since the 2001-02 season when they did it 11 times.

CLOSE CALLS - During Scott Trost's career at Lewis, the Flyers are 26-25 (.510) in games decided by five points or less, which accounts for 31.3% of the 163 games he has coached in.
