Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's basketball team seeks its first Great Lakes Valley Conference victory on Saturday (Jan. 7), as the Flyers (8-3, 0-3 GLVC) head across town to meet Missouri-St. Louis (9-3, 4-0 GLVC) for a 3 p.m. tip-off at Chuck Smith Court.

LAST TIME OUT - Maryville freshman guard Corey Washburn knocked down the game-winning three-pointer with four seconds remaining to give the host Saints the 64-61 win over Lewis on Thursday (Jan. 5) night. Lewis guards

David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) each scored 15 points in the loss.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Lewis is 22-7 (.759) since 2006-07 when they knock down at least 50.0% of their three-point attempts (min. 5 made).
CAN WE SHOOT IT? YES WE CAN - Lewis is shooting 39.3% from three-point range this season, while their opponents are connecting on just 38.2% of their total field goal attempts.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - McClellan is currently fourth in school-history for single-season three-point field goal percentage, as the senior guard is knocking down 49.1% (27-for-55) of his attempts. Charles Owens set the current standard of 55.4% (82-for-148) in 1993-94. Entering this week, McClellan was ranked fifth in the country in three-point shooting, hitting 53.2% of his attempts.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Entering this week, Lewis was ranked fourth in the NCAA in scoring defense (55.5 ppg) and seventh in the country in field goal percentage defense (37.3%).
DEFENSIVE CLAMPS (PART DEUX) - Lewis has held seven opponents this season to under 60 points. The Flyers accomplished that same feat for the entire 2010-11 campaign.
LESS IS MORE - Since the 2009-10 campaign, Lewis is 13-5 (.722) when taking less than 50 shots in a game. Since
Scott Trost's arrival in 2006, Lewis is 19-12 (.613) when they take less than 50 shots.
HONORING HIS BROTHER - Bryant wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.
CLOSE CALLS - During Trost's career at Lewis, the Flyers are 25-25 (.500) in games decided by five points or less, which accounts for 32.1% of the 156 games he has coached in.

PLAYING CLEAN - Entering this week, Lewis is averaging 13.8 fouls-per-game, which is good for fourth in the nation. Lewis is currently averaging 17.3 free throws-per-game, while their opponents are getting to the charity stripe just 11.5 times per game.
HE'S NO SAMSON - Senior forward
Lonnie Lawrence (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) is sporting a new look, as the Bloomington, Ill., native has cut his trademark braids. Since the trim, Lawrence is averaging 10.0 points and five rebounds-per-game, while shooting 72.7% (8-for-11) in his last two games.
DEEP BENCH - The Lewis bench has been impressive this season, but particularly the past two games, as the Flyer reserves outscored Wayne State and Maryville by a total of 56-13. For the season, the Lewis bench is averaging 24.3 points-per-game to their opponents' 14.8.
