The Flyers improve to 4-7 on the season and 4-5 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. The Tritons fall to 6-4 on the season, 5-3 in the GLVC.

"We played well today on both sides of the ball," Lewis head men's soccer coach Evan Fiffles said. "We did what we had to do to get the win."

Thomson scored in the 85th minute when he headed the ball past UMSL goalkeeper Patrick Ream after being fed the ball on a cross by senior Robert McGowan (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) to secure the win.
