Romeoville, Ill. -
The Lewis men's basketball team's three-game stretch through the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference concludes on Sunday (Nov. 25), as the Flyers (1-1) take on Hillsdale (2-0) at Jesse Philips Arena for a 3 PM (ET) tip-off.
Live stats and video streaming, provided by Hillsdale, can be found at www.LewisFlyers.com. Sunday's contest can be heard on WJOL (1340 AM) and www.LewisFlyers.com, with Mark Vasko providing the play-by-play action for the Lewis Sports Network.

ALL TIME SERIES - Lewis holds a 5-3 advantage over Hillsdale in their all-time series.

LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis outscored Hillsdale 20-9 over the final 10 minutes to earn the 62-52 win over the Chargers on November 26, 2012 at Neil Carey Arena. Lewis senior forward Matt Toth (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) led the way for the Flyers with 17 points and seven rebounds.

LAST TIME OUT - A tip-dunk by Wayne State's Ian Larkin with 70 seconds left proved to be the difference, as the host Warriors claimed the 70-69 in-region win over the Flyers on Monday (Nov. 19) night. Lewis' Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) topped the Flyers with 19 points and a career-high five assists.

OH YOU, AGAIN... -  As the head coach of Illinois Wesleyan, Lewis head coach Scott Trost's squad rallied from a 13-point, second-half deficit to defeat Hillsdale head coach John Tharp's previously undefeated Lawrence squad, 71-68, in a NCAA Division III regional semifinal on March 11, 2006.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis is holding opponents to 58.5 points-per-game, which is good for second-best in the GLVC.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK - Lewis has committed just 20 turnovers in their first two contests this season. The Flyers' nine turnovers against Ferris State on Nov. 17 were the fewest by a Lewis squad since they only had seven miscues against Northern Kentucky on January 21, 2012.

MOVING UP THE CHARTS - Trost (103-75) needs nine more wins to pass former Lewis head basketball coach and Director of Athletics Paul Ruddy (111-75) for fourth in school-history for career victories.

HONORING HIS BROTHER - Lewis senior guard David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.

IRON MAN - Bryant has played in all 91 possible regular-season games for the Flyers in four seasons.

TREY BIEN - Bryant is shooting 50.0% (8-for-16) from beyond the arc in the Flyers' last three games, dating back to their season-ending loss to Bellarmine in the NCAA regionals last year.

CRASHING THE BOARDS - Lewis' Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) led GLVC freshmen in 2011-12 with 5.0 rebounds-per-game. As of Wednesday (Nov. 21), Lewis is tied for the GLVC lead in rebounding with 9.0 caroms-per-contest and is the best in the conference in defensive rebounding (7.5 rpg).

WELCOME ABOARD - Trost announced on Tuesday (Nov. 20) that he has signed Harrisburg guard Capel Henshaw to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Flyers, beginning with the 2013-14 campaign. As a junior, he averaged 16.3 points and eight rebounds-per-game, helping the Bulldogs to a record of 28-5 and a berth in the 'Elite Eight' of the IHSA Playoffs.

BULKING UP - Trost's 2012 recruiting class of Paul Baumgart (Canton, Mich./Canton) (6-foot-7), Jared Ellis (Marion, Ill./Marion) (6-foot-8), Brad Foster (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) (6-foot-8), David Heckman (Greenwood, Ind./Roncalli) (6-foot-6) and Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) (6-foot-7) all stand at least 6-foot-6.

JUST PLAYIN' - All nine players that have seen action this season are averaging at least 11.0 minutes-per-game.
