ALL TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 37-23 advantage over Bellarmine in their all-time series.

LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis was unable to overcome a season-high 21 turnovers and 13 Bellarmine three-pointers, as the host Knights claimed the 84-56 win over the visiting Flyers on January 19, 2012.

LAST TIME OUT - Despite a season-high 24 points from freshman guard Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield), Lewis could not bounce back from a 24-6 first-half deficit, as No. 15 Northern Kentucky held on for the 76-70 win over the Flyers on Thursday (Feb. 2) night.

KEEP ON WINNIN' - Last Saturday's win over Saint Joseph's clinched a winning record of 5-4 for the month of January for Lewis, giving the Flyers three-straight winning months. The last time Lewis accomplished that feat came during the 2007-08 campaign, which was also the last time the Flyers qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament.

TOUGH SLEDDING - Lewis' seven losses this season have come against teams that are a combined 92-27 (.773) for the 2011-12 campaign.

IN IT UNTIL THE END - The score was either tied or Lewis held a lead with under one minute left in three of the Flyers' seven losses this season.

EXTRA EFFORT - Lewis' win over Indianapolis on January 26th, marked the Flyers' second overtime win this season. That is the first time a Flyer squad has accomplished that feat since the 2007-08 campaign when they went 2-2 in free basketball. The last time Lewis won three overtime games came during the 1993-94 season.

HONORING HIS BROTHER - Junior guard David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.

HE'S NO SAMSON - Since cutting his trademark braids, senior forward Lonnie Lawrence (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) is averaging 6.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals-per-game in 11 contests, while shooting a team-best 58.8% (30-for-51) from the field. Prior to that, Lawrence averaged 2.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals-per-game in nine contests.

50/50 - Lewis is 7-0 this year when they have a field goal percentage of 50.0% or better. Since the 2006-07 campaign, the Flyers have a record of 53-10 (.841) when they shoot over 50.0%.

NOT MY BROTHER - Senior forward Justin Jarosz (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) and freshman guard Jeff Jarosz (Lyons, Ill./Morton) are not related.

CLEANING UP THE GLASS - Freshman forward Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) is tops among GLVC freshmen and the Flyers with 5.42 rebounds-per-game. Former Lewis standout Austin Real (Aurora, Ill./Aurora West) was the last freshman to lead the Flyers in rebounding with 6.8 boards-per-game in 2000-01.

POUNDING THE GLASS - Lewis is 14-3 (.824) when senior forward Matt Toth (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) leads the team in rebounding during his career.

PLAYING CLEAN - As of January 29th, Lewis is ranked sixth in the nation, averaging 14.9 fouls-per-game.

GETTING TO THE LINE - Lewis has made more free throws (274) than their opponents have attempted (272).

FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Lewis is 23-8 (.741) since 2006-07 when they knock down at least 50.0% of their three-point attempts (min. 5 made).

FROM WAY DOWNTOWN (PART DEUX) - As a team, Lewis is third in the conference and sixth in the country in three-point field goal percentage, as the Flyers are knocking down 40.8% (136-for-333) of their attempts. The Knights, however, are second in the nation in three-point FG%, converting 43.5% of their attempts (as of Jan. 29).

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis has held nine opponents this season to under 60 points, which is the most by a Flyer squad since the 2001-02 season when they did it 11 times.

CLOSE CALLS - During Scott Trost's career at Lewis, the Flyers are 26-25 (.510) in games decided by five points or less, which accounts for 30.9% of the 165 games he has coached in.
