Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 47 Lewis University women's team set the tone early against No. 50 Indianapolis, as the Flyers swept all three doubles matches on their way to the 6-3 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the visiting Greyhounds at the Jack Oremus Tennis Complex.
"We played so well in doubles today," Lewis head women's tennis coach
Brett Bridel said. "They were alll on their games today and they all played within themselves.
"We played very smart, aggressive tennis with high energy and it was the best doubles performance we've had all season."
With the win, Lewis improves to 13-2 overall and 2-0 in GLVC action, while the Greyhounds are now 9-6 on the campaign and 1-1 in conference play.

Zsofia Kranczicki (Eger, Hungary/Szilagyi Erzsebet Gimnazium es Kollegium) (Eger, Hungary/Szilagyi Erzsebet Gimnazium es Kollegium) and
Brianna Markgraf (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) picked up the 8-2 win over Alena Perez-Majul and Maggie Ashby at No. 1. Kranczicki claimed the 6-0, 6-3 victory Ashby at No. 2 singles, while Markgraf earned the 2-6, 6-4, 10-8 triumph over Meghan Teunis at No. 5 singles.
At No. 2 doubles, Lewis'
Bayley Brown (Evansville, Ind./Evansville Central) (Evansville, Ind./Evansville Central) and
Katie Hargrove (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) dropped Kasey Land and Teunis, 8-1.

Zsofia Lanstiak (Budapest, Hungary/Karinthy Frigyes Gimnazium) (Budapest, Hungary/Karinthy Frigyes Gimnazium) and
Kendra Mills (Elmhurst, Ill./York) (Elmhurst, Ill./York) defeated Claire Liles and Kelsey Matthews, 8-2, at No. 3 doubles. Lanstiak added the final victory for the Flyers at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 handling of Perez-Majul.
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Apr. 6), as the Flyers travel to Evansville, Ind., to square off with Southern Indiana. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
