Kenosha, Wisc. – Junior Sarah Kenis (Herndon, Va./Oakcrest) won three different events for the Lewis University women's swimming team in their 161-101 dual meet loss to Carthage College on Saturday (Jan. 12).
 
"We had some very good performances despite the fact that we are in the middle of our most challenging training cycle,” Lewis head women's swimming coach Roger Karns said. “We are doing exactly the things we need to do as we move closer to the championship season in February and March.”
 
Kenis won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.07), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.14), and the 200-yard individual medley (2:13.42).
 
Sophomore Katie Hallenbeck (Plano, Ill./Plano) won 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:00.28 while freshman Kinsey Coble (Layfayette, Ind./Jefferson) won the 50-yard freestyle (25.06).
 
Lewis will recognize seniors Angela Cusack (Willow Springs, Ill./Lyons Township), Orla Power (Greenville, N.C./J.H. Rose), Catie Reese (Trafalgar, Ind./Indian Creek) at the Flyers last home meet of the season against Olivet Nazarene at Lewis Pool with a start time at 11 AM.
