Romeoville, Ill. -
The Lewis University men's basketball team opens up a stretch of three games in five days on Thursday (Jan. 17) night, as the Flyers (8-4, 2-2 GLVC) head to Lebanon, Ill., to meet McKendree (7-7, 1-3 GLVC). Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM at the Melvin Price Convocation Center.
Live stats, audio and video streaming of Thursday's game - provided by McKendree - can be found at www.LewisFlyers.com.

LAST TIME OUT - Lewis scored 32 of the game's first 40 points and never looked back on their way to the 87-52 win over Rockhurst on Saturday (Jan. 12) afternoon. The 87 points were a season-high for the Flyers, including their 34 baskets.

ALL-TIME SERIES - The series is tied at 1-apiece.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK - Lewis has had three games of less than 10 turnovers this season. The last time the Flyers accomplished that feat four times, came during the 2008-09 campaign when they did it five times.

IRON MAN - Lewis senior guard David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) has played in all 101 possible games for the Flyers in four seasons.

CRASHING THE BOARDS - Freshman forward Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) is second on the team in rebounding with 4.8 caroms-per-game. He also has more offensive (30) than defensive (27) rebounds this season.

YOUNG GUNS - Lewis is the youngest team in the GLVC, as the Flyers have just two active upperclassmen on the roster and three total upperclassmen on the team. Quincy is next youngest squad with three active upperclassmen.

POST PRESENCE - In his last ten games, Nelson is shooting a robust 71.4% (40-for-56) from the floor.

MOVING UP THE CHARTS - Lewis head men's basketball coach Scott Trost (110-78) needs three more wins to pass former Lewis head basketball coach and Director of Athletics Paul Ruddy (112-75) for fourth in school-history for career victories.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE-DOUBLE - The Flyers have recorded one double-double in each of their last two contests. The last time Lewis accomplished that feat in three consecutive games came during the 2007-08 campaign when forward Stephan Bolt (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) did it in four-straight from March 4-15, 2008.

HONORING HIS BROTHER - Bryant wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis has held four opponents to under 50 points this season. The last time the Flyers held more than four teams to under 50 points, came during the 1985-86 campaign, when they did it six times.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS (PART DEUX) - Lewis is holding its opponents to 60.3 points-per-game, which is tops in the GLVC and 14th overall in the country.

GO AS HE GOES - Lewis sophomore guard Jeff Jarosz (Lyons, Ill./Morton) is averaging 13.3 points and shooting 59.7% (37-for-62) from the field in the Flyers' eight wins this season. In the four contests that the Flyers have lost, Jarosz is averaging 5.3 points-per-game and shooting 35.7% (10-for-28).

BLOCK PARTY - Nelson currently leads the GLVC in blocked shots (22). The St. Charles, Ill., native needs 11 more swats to break into Lewis' top 10 for blocked shots in a single season.

BIG WIN - Saturday's 35-point victory over Rockhurst is the second time the Flyers have won by 35+ points this season. The last time they accomplished that feat three times came during the 2002-03 campaign.

REBOUNDING ADVANTAGE - Lewis is 35-8 during Trost's tenure when they out-rebound their opponents by 10 or more.
