The Lewis University men's basketball team wraps up their arduous three-game stretch in five days, as the Flyers (9-5, 3-3 GLVC) travel to Somers, Wis., to meet UW-Parkside (10-4, 5-1 GLVC) on Monday (Jan. 21) night. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM at DeSimone Gymnasium.

Monday's contest can also be heard on WJOL (1340 AM) and www.LewisFlyers.com with Mark Vasko providing the play-by-play action for the Lewis Sports Network and WLRA (88.1 FM) with Jesse Hardacre on the call.

LAST TIME OUT - Despite a career-high 29 points from senior guard David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia), Lewis was unable to hold onto a 10-point first half lead as No. 12 Bellarmine claimed the 75-71 win over the Flyers on Saturday (Jan. 19) afternoon.

ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 34-24 advantage over UW-Parkside in their all-time series.

LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis senior guard Chris McClellan (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Wheeling) posted a game-high 20 points to help the visiting Flyers rally from a nine-point, second-half deficit on their way to the 90-83 win over UW-Parkside on February 23, 2012.

HELLO FRIEND - Lewis sophomore forward Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) and UW-Parkside senior forward Jeremy Saffold were high school teammates at Homewood-Flossmoor in Flossmoor, Illinois.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK - Lewis has had four games of less than 10 turnovers this season. The last time the Flyers accomplished that feat five times came during the 2008-09 campaign.

IRON MAN - Bryant has played in all 102 possible games for the Flyers in four seasons.

CRASHING THE BOARDS - Freshman forward Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) is second on the team in rebounding with 4.7 caroms-per-game. He also has more offensive (35) than defensive (31) rebounds this season.

YOUNG GUNS - Lewis is the youngest team in the GLVC, as the Flyers have just two active upperclassmen on the roster and three total upperclassmen on the team. Quincy is next youngest squad with three active upperclassmen.

GO AS HE GOES - Lewis sophomore guard Jeff Jarosz (Lyons, Ill./Morton) is averaging 13.2 points and shooting 60.3% (41-for-68) from the field in the Flyers' nine wins this season. In the five contests that the Flyers have lost, Jarosz is averaging 6.0 points-per-game and shooting 37.8% (14-for-37).

MOVING UP THE CHARTS - Lewis head men's basketball coach Scott Trost (111-78) needs two more wins to pass former Lewis head basketball coach and Director of Athletics Paul Ruddy (112-75) for fourth in school-history for career victories.

HONORING HIS BROTHER - Bryant wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis has held four opponents to under 50 points this season. The last time the Flyers held more than four teams to under 50 points, came during the 1985-86 campaign, when they did it six times.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS (PART DEUX) - Lewis is holding its opponents to 61.4 points-per-game, which is tops in the GLVC and 15th overall in the country (as of January 17th).

BLOCK PARTY - Nelson currently leads the GLVC in blocked shots (23). The St. Charles, Ill., native needs 10 more swats to break into Lewis' top 10 for blocked shots in a single season.

BIG WIN - Lewis' 35-point victory over Rockhurst on January 12th is the second time the Flyers have won by 35+ points this season. The last time they accomplished that feat three times came during the 2002-03 campaign.

REBOUNDING ADVANTAGE - Lewis is 36-8 during Trost's tenure when they out-rebound their opponents by 10 or more.
