Live stats, audio and video streaming of Thursday's game can be found at www.LewisFlyers.com. Thursday's contest can also be heard on WJOL (1340 AM) and www.LewisFlyers.com with Mark Vasko providing the play-by-play action for the Lewis Sports Network and WLRA (88.1 FM) with Shane Gustafson and Ryan Tadych on the call.
LAST TIME OUT - Lewis sophomore guard
Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) notched a career-high 32 points on 10-for-13 shooting, as the Flyers came-from-behind to earn the 77-74 road victory over UW-Parkside on Monday (Jan. 21) night.
ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, Kentucky Wesleyan owns a 42-23 advantage over the Flyers in their all-time series.
LAST TIME WE MET - The Lewis University trio of Jackson (26 points),
Chris McClellan (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Wheeling) (22 points) and
Matt Toth (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) (19 points) combined for 67 points as the Flyers upset No. 7 Kentucky Wesleyan, 82-74, in Owensboro, Ky., on February 9, 2012.
MOVING UP THE CHARTS - Lewis head men's basketball coach
Scott Trost (112-78) needs one more win to pass former Lewis head basketball coach and Director of Athletics Paul Ruddy (112-75) for fourth in school-history for career victories.
RANKED SCHMANKED - Trost is 7-4 against Kentucky Wesleyan during his career at Lewis and that includes three victories against the Panthers when they were ranked nationally.
TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK - Lewis has had five games of less than 10 turnovers this season. That's the most by a Flyer squad since they had 10 of those contests during the 2003-04 campaign.
IRON MAN - Senior guard
David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) has played in all 104 possible games for the Flyers in four seasons.
CRASHING THE BOARDS - Freshman forward
Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) is second on the team in rebounding with 4.4 caroms-per-game. He also has more offensive (35) than defensive (31) rebounds this season.
REBOUNDING ADVANTAGE - Lewis is 36-8 during Trost's tenure when they out-rebound their opponents by 10 or more.
BLOCK PARTY - Nelson currently leads the GLVC in blocked shots (23). The St. Charles, Ill., native needs 10 more swats to break into Lewis' top 10 for blocked shots in a single season.
YOUNG GUNS - Lewis is the youngest team in the GLVC, as the Flyers have just two active upperclassmen on the roster and three total upperclassmen on the team. Quincy is next youngest squad with three active upperclassmen.
HONORING HIS BROTHER - Bryant wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.
DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis has held four opponents to under 50 points this season. The last time the Flyers held more than four teams to under 50 points, came during the 1985-86 campaign, when they did it six times.
BIG WIN - Lewis' 35-point victory over Rockhurst on January 12th is the second time the Flyers have won by 35+ points this season. The last time they accomplished that feat three times came during the 2002-03 campaign.
TOUGH ROAD - Including Thursday's contest against Kentucky Wesleyan, six of Lewis' next seven games are against teams currently ranked No. 11 or higher in the most recent NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Poll.
FOR CONTINUITY SAKE - Only six players have started at least one game for Lewis this season, giving the Flyers the fewest starting line-up combinations in the GLVC.
KNOCKING THEM DOWN - Jackson has converted his last 23 free throws.
