Romeoville, Ill. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division leading Lewis University women's basketball team (14-3, 7-2 GLVC) heads to No. 19 Indianapolis (13-4, 6-3 GLVC) for a Thursday (Jan. 31) match-up at Nicoson Hall. Tip-off is set for at 5:30 PM ET.

LAST TIME OUT - Senior Sam Rinehart (Marion, Iowa/Marion) posted her first career double-double with a career-high 22 points and 11 rebounds in the Flyers' 71-69 victory over No. 23 Southern Indiana on Saturday (Jan. 26) at Neil Carey Arena to wrap up a 3-0 week of play.
RINEHART NETS WEEKLY GLVC HONOR - Rinehart averaged 15.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in leading Lewis to a perfect 3-0 week, to earn the GLVC Player of the Week honor.
SCOUTING THE HOUNDS - Indianapolis is coming off a tough loss to Bellarmine, 75-72, on Saturday (Jan. 26). Head Coach Constantin Popa is in his second year at the helm of the program. Junior guard Katy McIntosh leads the Hounds with 17 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists-per-game averages.
ALL TIME SERIES - The Hounds lead 34-28.
BATTLE FOR BUCKETS - Lewis and Indianapolis are No. 1 and No. 2 in the GLVC in three-point field-goal defense, holding opponents to 23.8% and 26.3%, respectively while the Hounds top the conference in field-goal percentage defense (31.0%) with the Flyers second (35.5%).
SAME STARTIN' FIVE - The Flyers can boast that their starting line-up has not changed in all 17 of the team's games this season.
LAST TIME WE MET - The Flyers lost at Neil Carey Arena to the Hounds 82-59 (Jan. 26, 2012). UIndy put the game away early after a 28-11 run in the first half and shot 56.1% from the floor for the game.
LEWIS RECEIVES VOTES IN DII POLL - The Flyers received 36 votes in the third straight weekly USA TODAY Sports Division II Basketball Coaches Poll, that was released on Tuesday (Jan. 29).
NATIONAL RANKINGS - Lewis jumped into the top-10 in three categories in the NCAA national statistical rankings that were released on Friday (Jan. 28). The Flyers are No. 4 in three-point field-goal defense (23.8%), No. 6 three-point field-goal percentage (38.4%) and No. 8 in field-goal percentage (44.8%).
FLYERS STACKING UP AGAINST THE GLVC - Junior guard Alexus Grayer (Washington, Ill./Washington) tops the conference with a 46.4% three-point field-goal percentage while sophomore guard Nikki Nellen (New Berlin, Wis./Pius XI) is 2nd in the GLVC with 4.8 assists per game.
ALL-TIMER - Senior Labrenthia Murdock (Round Lake, Ill./Round Lake) has moved up to No. 7 in school history with 85 blocks. Erin Cox (203-07) is sitting at No. 6 with 89 career blocks. Murdock's team-leading 23 blocks is second in the GLVC.
SHY OF 1,000 - Murdock heads into Thursday's game 13 points away from becoming the 19th player in program history to score 1,000 points.
NUMBERS VS. THE GLVC - The Flyers top the GLVC in field-goal percentage (44.6%), three-point field-goal percentage (38.2%), scoring (74.4) and three-point field-goal defense (23.8%), and are second in field-goal percentage defense (35.5%), assists (16.4 per-game average), and defensive rebounds (30.4 per-game average) in the GLVC.
UNDERCLASSMEN LOGGIN' ON - The Flyers are an underclassmen laden squad, as the six sophomores and freshmen are averaging over 8.2 minutes per game.
