Lake Forest, Ill. – Lewis University freshman
Courtney Duy (Buckeye, Ariz./Millennium) and sophomore
Montana Clasby (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls) each picked up two first-place finishes in the women's swimming team's 115-108 victory over Lake Forest on Saturday (Nov. 16) at LFC's short course 25-meter pool.
The Flyers move to 3-1 in dual meets.
Duy picked up a victory in the 200-meter freestyle (2:14.15) and 100-meter backstroke (1:07.35). Clasby tallied victories in the 200-meter individual medley (2:30.49) and 100-meter breaststroke (1:16.17).
"The team was aggressive and attacked the walls, something we stress daily," Lewis head women's swimming coach
Roger Karns said. "The relays were very good even though it wasn't the usual line up.
I was pleased with how they handled the adjustment."
Flyer freshman
Shannon Sullivan (Elmhurst, Ill./York Community) picked up a first place finish in the 100-meter freestyle (58.29) and broke the LFC pool record of 59.05 by LFSC's Christine Kuczek set in 2012. Her time also registered a NCAA B cut time as well.
Freshman
Brittnie Dean (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township) won the 800-meter freestyle (9:42.19).
The 400-meter relay team of freshmen
Brittany Kamper (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg),
Kara Treacy (Corpus Christi, Texas/Flour Bluff) and Sullivan as well as sophomore
Mackenzie Kummer (Addison, Ill./Addison Trail) turned in a time of 4:07.75 to break the LFC pool record of 4:11.41 set by a Carthage College quartet in 2007.
Treacy won the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:41.00 as senior
Caitlyn Scheirer (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) won the 100-meter butterfly turning in a time of 1:09.49. Junior
Cindy Jezuit (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) tallied a victory in the 50-meter freestyle (28.10).

Kristen Silvey (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) teamed up to win the 200-meter medley relay with a time of 2:08.74.
The Flyers are back in action with they compete in the House of Champions, a mid-season championship-style meet, on Friday-Sunday (Nov. 22-24) in Indianapolis, Ind.
