"This is a great accomplishment for a young team," Lewis head women's volleyball coach
Lorelee Smith said. "I am extremely impressed and proud of all 21 members as each in their own way have contributed this season."
Ferris State (22-8) defeated Lewis (24-9) 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-18) in a GLIAC/GLVC Crossover match-up earlier this season. In the 2013 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament, the Flyers fell 3-2 (24-26, 25-21, 25-27, 25-19, 15-13) to Truman State in a semifinal match at Neil Carey Arena on Saturday (Nov. 23).
