SERIES CONTROL – The Flyers hold a 1-0 series lead over the Railsplitters.

LAST TIME WE FACED OFF - Lewis defeated Lincoln Memorial 74-63 in Harrogate, Tenn., on Dec. 16, 2012. Led by Jess Reinhart (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) with 18 points and 15 rebounds five Flyers scored in double-figures in the victory.

LAST TIME ON THE COURT – Sparked by double-double outputs from sophomore Mariyah Brawner-Henley (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) (31 pts., 17 rebs.) and Reinhart (30 pts., 13 rebs.), the Flyers defeated Purdue Calumet 91-76 on Dec. 7th at Neil Carey Arena.

DOUBLE-TROUBLE – Brawner-Henley and Reinhart's double-doubles on Dec. 7th marked the first time since the 2010 season that the Flyers had two players post double-doubles in the same game. Jenny Turpel posted 24 points and 10 rebounds while teammate Lory Shaw scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds in the 75-70 loss to Saginaw Valley on Nov. 12, 2010.

HOME SWEET HOME – Lewis is a perfect 4-0 at home to start this season and has a 15-game home winning streak going at Neil Carey Arena. The Flyers won 11-straight contests at home after opening the 2012-13 home slate with an 84-77 loss to Central Missouri (Nov. 24).

LEADING THE GLVC – Brawner-Henley leads the GLVC in rebounds (12.3 rpg) and in scoring (21.0 ppg) and second in blocked shots (2.3 bpg). She also paces the conference with six double-doubles, two more than the next player.

SHARING THE ROCK – All three of the Flyers starting guards are in the top-10 in the GLVC in assists. Junior Nikki Nellen (New Berlin, Wis./Pius XI) leads the conference in assists and No. 15 nationally, dishing out 5.9 assists-per-game while sophomore Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) is second with a 5.0 assists-per-game average. Junior Kristin Itschner (Metamora, Ill./Peoria Notre Dame) ranks sixth, averaging 4.4 assists-per-game.

FLYING UP THE RANKS – Across NCAA Division II, Brawner-Henley ranks 6th in rebounds, 20th in blocked shots and 22nd in scoring. She is also tied with three others as No. 2 in the country with six double-doubles this season.

AMONG THE CONFERENCE - Lewis tops the GLVC in blocked shots, averaging 5.4 blocks-per-game and is second in assists, dishing out 19.1 assists-per-game. The Flyers are No. 10 nationally in both categories.

SOPHOMORE SHINING BRIGHT – Brawner-Henley is the first Flyer to average a double-double since Julie Fruendt completed the 1983-84 season averaging 18.9 points and 10.1 rebounds.

GLVC WEEKLY HONORS - Brawner-Henley has twice named GLVC Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference this season. She most recently picked up the honors on Dec. 9th after she averaged 25.5 points, 16.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocked shots in victories against St. Francis (Ill.) and Purdue Calumet. She picked up her first award on Nov. 11 to start the season.
