Louisville, Ky. - The No. 36 Lewis University men's tennis team closed out the 2013 Great Lakes Valley Conference season with the 7-2 victory over Bellarmine at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex on Saturday (Apr. 13) afternoon.
With the win, Lewis improves to 7-5 overall and 3-2 in GLVC action, while the host Knights are now 13-9 on the campaign and 1-4 in conference play.

Armand Levandi (Tallinn, Estonia/Audentese Spordigumnaasiumi) (Tallinn, Estonia/Audentese Spordigumnaasiumi) and junior
Florian Etienne (Paris, France/Jean de la Fontaine) (Paris, France/Jean de la Fontaine/Shorter) opened up with an 8-3 win over Bellarmine's Anton Rabinov and Igal Mostkov at No. 1 doubles. Levandi rallied for the 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 win over Rabinov at No. 1 singles, while Etienne fought for the 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Jacob Knagenhjelm at No. 3 singles.
At No. 2 doubles, Lewis'
John Richert (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) and
Jesse Hardacre (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) dropped Carlos Antonioli and Knagenhjelm, 8-6. Richert also emerged victorious over Jimmy Fernandez (7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-2) at No. 5 singles, while Hardacre defeated Antonioli, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 4 singles.
Lewis' seventh victory of the day came at No. 3 doubles, as sophomore
Erik Aunapuu (Tallinn, Estonia/Audentese Spordigumnaasiumi) (Tallinn, Estonia/Audentese Spordigumnaasiumi) and junior
Philip Kuenzi (Manitowoc, Wis./Roncalli) (Manitowoc, Wis./Roncalli/Creighton) surpassed Fernandez and Nathan Walroth, 8-2.
Lewis rounds out the regular-season on Sunday (Apr. 14), as the Flyers welcome Ferris State for a regional showdown at 1 PM at the Jack Oremus Tennis Complex.
