Indianapolis, Ind. - The No. 41 Lewis University women's tennis team fell short in its bid to repeat as the Great Lakes Valley Conference champion, as No. 29 Drury earned the 5-3 victory over the Flyers in the 2013 GLVC Women's Tennis Championship at the UIndy Tennis Center on Saturday (Apr. 20) afternoon.
With the win, Drury improves to 18-3 overall and snaps the Flyers' 11-match winning streak. Lewis is now 14-4 on the season and will await word on who their opponent will be in the upcoming NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament.

The Flyers' other win came at No. 2 doubles, as sophomore
Brianna Markgraf (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) and freshman
Megan Nguyen (Germantown Hills, Ill./Metamora) (Germantown Hills, Ill./Metamora) defeated Drury's Natalia Kozel and Hadeil Ali, 8-5.
