Bourbonnais, Ill. – The Lewis University women's swimming team swept their double dual meet against Maryville and Olivet Nazarene on Saturday (Jan. 18) at the ONU Student and Recreation Center. The Flyers defeated Maryville, 219-23, and Olivet Nazarene, 134.5-127.5.

With the victories, the Flyers improve to 9-2 on the year and 3-1 against Great Lakes Valley Conference opponents.

"The squad scored a win over a good team in the closest meet of the year," Lewis head women's swimming coach Roger Karns said. "There were several extremely close races and even a tie.

"That is a measure of the kind of meet it was."
