Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University women's basketball team (12-3, 6-1 GLVC) looks to extend their seven-game home winning streak when the No. 23 Flyers host on Southern Indiana (11-4, 5-2 GLVC) on Thursday (Jan. 23) at Neil Carey Arena. Tipoff  is set for 5:30 PM.

SERIES RECORD – Lewis holds a 32-29 series record over the Screaming Eagles.
LAST TIME WE FACED OFF - Lewis and Southern Indiana split the season last season, defending their home courts. On Feb. 2, 2013, the Screaming Eagles picked up a 68-55 victory in the Physical Activities Center in Evansville, Ind. Labrenthia Murdock (Round Lake, Ill./Round Lake) led the Flyers with 13 points and six rebounds as Mariyah Brawner-Henley (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
LAST TIME ON THE COURT – The Flyers nine-game winning streak was snapped in a 51-50 loss to UW-Parkside on Monday (Jan. 20) at DeSimone Gymnasium. Junior forward Jess Reinhart (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) led the Flyers with 15 points and nine rebounds.Â
HOME SWEET HOME – Lewis is 7-0 at home this season and has an 18-game home winning streak going at Neil Carey Arena. The Flyers carried over 11-straight victories at home after opening the 2012-13 home slate with an 84-77 loss to Central Missouri (Nov. 24, 2012).
BACK IN THE POLL - Lewis moved up two spots in the USA Today Sports Division II Coaches Poll on Tuesday (Jan. 21) at No. 23.Â
BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER - Redshirt sophomore guard Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic), who has started in all 15 games, is averaging a league-high 35.3 minutes on the court. Johnson missed the entire 2012-13 campaign due to a knee injury. She also tops the GLVC in free throw percentage, hitting 39-of-43 (90.7%) shots from the charity stripe for the Flyers.
BOTH HOOPS TEAMS RANKED - Lewis University is one of six NCAA Division II institutions that have men's and women's basketball programs in the Top-25.
SOPHOMORE SHINING BRIGHT – Brawner-Henley is the first Flyer to average a double-double since Julie Fruendt completed the 1983-84 season averaging 18.9 points and 10.1 rebounds.Â
AMONG THE COUNTRY - Lewis tops the GLVC in rebounds, averaging 44.1 rebounds-per-game. The Flyers are second in the league in assists, dishing out 17.4 assists-per-game, while holding a 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. Lewis also is second in blocked shots, swatting 5.0 shots-per-game. As of Jan. 20th, the Flyers were tenth nationally in blocks and eleventh in assist-to-turnover ratio.
FLYING TO THE TOP – Brawner-Henley leads the country with 14 double-doubles in 15 contests this season, while ranking second nationally in rebounds, averaging 12.9 rebounds-per-game. Brawner-Henley is second the GLVC in points (18.7 ppg.), while ranking third in blocked shots (2.0 bpg.).Â
SHARING THE ROCK – Junior guard Nikki Nellen (New Berlin, Wis./Pius XI) is second in the conference in assists, dishing out 4.9 assists-per-game while Johnson is fourth, averaging 4.3 helpers-per-game.
THREE FLYERS WITH 20-POINTS IN A GAME -  Junior Kristin Itschner (Metamora, Ill./Peoria Notre Dame), Reinhart and Johnson's 20-point performances against Quincy on Jan. 5th marked the first time since the 2005-06 season that the Flyers have had three players score at least 20 points. Darcee Schmidt (23 pts.), Mary Moskal (24 pts.) and Shante Glenn (20 pts.) all hit the mark in the Flyers' 95-85 victory at Ferris State on Dec. 21, 2005.
DOUBLE-TROUBLE – Brawner-Henley (31 pts., 17 rebs.) and Reinhart's (30 pts., 13 rebs.) double-doubles on Dec. 7th against Purdue Calumet marked the first time since the 2010 season that the Flyers had two players post double-doubles in the same game. Jenny Turpel (24 pts., 10 rebs.) and Lory Shaw (16 pts.,12 rebs.) collected their double-doubles in the Flyers 75-70 loss to Saginaw Valley on Nov. 12, 2010.
