HTML ResultsROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis women's swimming team won eight of 11 events on Friday (Nov. 7) afternoon against Division I Valparaiso to top the Crusaders 132-72 in a dual meet at the Lewis Pool.

Lewis opened the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 200 medley relay. Junior
Shelby Leonard (Sarasota, Fla./Sarasota), junior
Montana Clasby (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls), sophomore
Brittnie Dean (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township) and senior
Cindy Jezuit (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) combined for a time of 1:52.92 to get the win.
Freshman
Caitlin Krull (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) won the 200 freestyle by touching the wall in 1:59.65. Redshirt sophomore
Kinsey Coble (Lafayette, Ind./Jefferson) took home a victory in both the 50 freestyle (25.22) and the 100 freestyle (55.75).

Leonard won the 100 backstroke in a pool record time of 58.80, nearly two seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Sophomore
Sarah Cameron (Brownstone, Mich./Carlson) used a time of 5:15.85 to win the 500 freestyle. Clasby touched the wall first in the 100 breaststroke, winning the event in 1:09.11.
Jezuit, junior
Mackenzie Kummer (Addison, Ill./Addison Trail), Cameron and Leonard combined to close the match with a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.61).
"There were a lot of good swims, especially in slightly off events for some people," Lewis head coach
Roger Karns said. "It gives us a little better look as we head into the second half of the season."

The Flyers have a quick turnaround as Lewis hosts conference-foe Truman State and Division III Lake Forest on Saturday (Nov. 8) at 11 a.m. at the Lewis Pool.
