Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 15 Lewis University women's basketball team (18-3, 12-1 GLVC) heads out on their final Great Lakes Valley Conference road trip of the season when they take on Missouri S&T (8-13, 4-9 GLVC) on Thursday (Feb. 13) in Rolla, Mo. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM at the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.

SERIES RECORD – The Flyers hold a 9-3 all-time series lead over the Miners.
AGAINST THE GLVC WEST - Lewis is 6-0 this season against GLVC West Division teams. The Flyers are averaging a 15.7-point scoring margin, dishing out 17.0 assists, and out-rebounding their West Division opponents, 43.8-36.2.
LAST TIME WE FACED OFF – Missouri S&T snapped Lewis five-game winning-streak with a 69-62 victory on Jan. 5, 2013, in Rolla, Mo. Labrenthia Murdock (Round Lake, Ill./Round Lake) led the Flyers with 13 points and a career-high four blocks, while Alexus Grayer (Washington, Ill./Washington) added 13 points, including hitting three three-pointers. Sam Rinehart (Marion, Iowa/Marion) chipped in 11 points for Lewis.
LAST TIME ON THE COURT – The Flyers picked up their sixth-straight win on Saturday (Feb. 8) in an 86-75 victory over William Jewell. Jess Reinhart (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) led the way with 27 points, while Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) chipped in 21 points.
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Flyers 72-37 victory over Rockhurst (Feb. 6) marked the lowest points scored by an opponent since a 39-37 Flyer victory over the Hawks on Dec. 1, 2007 in Kansas City, Mo.
SCORING THE BALL - Lewis' five 90+ point victories this season is the most since the 1988-89 squad tallied seven 90+ point victories of their own.
MOVING UP THE POLL - Lewis moved up one spot to No. 15 in the USA Today Sports Division II Coaches Poll released on Tuesday (Feb. 11).
TOP OF THE GLVC - Lewis tops the GLVC in rebounds, averaging 43.9 rebounds-per-game, and is seventh nationally in blocked shots, swatting 5.2 shots-per-game.
SOPHOMORE SHINING BRIGHT – Mariyah Brawner-Henley (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) is the first Flyer to average a double-double since Julie Fruendt completed the 1983-84 season averaging 18.9 points and 10.1 rebounds.
FINDING WHO'S OPEN - The Flyers, who lead the GLVC and are tenth nationally in assists averaging 18.3 helpers-per-game, dished out a season-high 26 assists against Southern Indiana (Jan. 23rd) and at Indianapolis (Jan. 30).
BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER - Johnson, who has started in all 21 contests, leads the GLVC averaging 35.7 minutes-per-game. Johnson missed the entire 2012-13 campaign due to a knee injury. She leads the GLVC and is eighth nationally in free throw percentage, hitting 70-of-77 (90.9%) shots from the charity stripe for the Flyers.
FLYING TO THE TOP – Brawner-Henley leads the country with 18 double-doubles in 21 contests this season, while ranking third nationally and tops the GLVC in rebounds, averaging 12.3 boards-per-game. The forward is also second in the GLVC in points (18.3 ppg.).
SHARING THE ROCK – Junior guard Nikki Nellen (New Berlin, Wis./Pius XI) leads the conference and is 13th nationally in assists, dishing out 5.3 assists-per-game while Johnson is fifth in the GLVC, averaging 4.4 helpers-per-game.
THREE FLYERS WITH 20-POINTS IN A GAME – Kristin Itschner (Metamora, Ill./Peoria Notre Dame) (22 pts.), Johnson (29 pts.) and Brawner-Henley (23 pts.) all posted 20 points in the Lewis win over UIndy (Jan. 30) marking the second time this season a trio of Flyers have scored at least 20 points. In the Flyers win over 92-80 Quincy (Jan. 5), Itschner, Reinhart and Johnson all chipped in 20-point performances.
DOUBLE-TROUBLE – For the third time this season, Brawner-Henley and Reinhart both collected double-doubles in the same game. Brawner-Henley picked up 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Reinhart collected 10 points and 10 boards in Lewis 72-37 win over Rockhurst (Feb. 6). In the Flyers victory over the Greyhounds (Jan. 30), Brawner-Henley posted 23 points and 18 rebounds while Reinhart chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. On Dec. 7th, Brawner-Henley (31 pts., 17 rebs.) and Reinhart (30 pts., 13 rebs.) collected double-doubles against Purdue Calumet.
DISHING DIMES - Nellen's 11 points and 10 assists against USI (Jan. 23) marked the first time since the 1986-87 season that a Flyer has collected a double-double in such a way since Rosemary Turner tallied 14 points and 11 assists in the Flyers 88-65 loss to Wright State on Dec. 16, 1986.
GUARDING AGAINST THE THREES - The Flyers top the GLVC defending against three-pointers, holding opponents to 28.7% (104-363) from beyond the arc.
