Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 15 Lewis University women's basketball team (19-4, 13-2 GLVC) puts their 22-game home winning streak on the line when they host Illinois Springfield (7-16, 3-12) on Thursday (Feb. 20) at Neil Carey Arena. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.

SERIES RECORD – The Flyers hold a 7-2 all-time series record over the Prairie Stars.Â
HOME SWEET HOME – Lewis' 22-game home winning-streak is the second-longest in the country among NCAA DII women's basketball programs. The Flyers are 11-0 at Neil Carey Arena this season, carrying over 11-straight victories at home after opening the 2012-13 home slate with an 84-77 loss to Central Missouri (Nov. 24, 2012).
LAST TIME WE FACED OFF – Lewis collected an 80-68 victory over UIS at the TRAC in Springfield, Ill., as four Flyers scored in double-figures. Mariyah Brawner-Henley (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) led the way with 23 points and 14 rebounds as Nikki Nellen (New Berlin, Wis./Pius XI) dished out 10 assists.Â
LAST TIME ON THE COURT – The Flyers seven-game win streak was snapped by a 89-70 loss to No. 9 Drury, on Feb. 15 at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield, Mo. The Lady Panthers took a 20-point lead into halftime that the Flyers couldn't cut into as Brawner-Henley led the Flyers with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS - In the Flyers 71-37 victory on Feb. 6, Lewis held Rockhurst to the lowest points scored by an opponent since Lewis defeated Rockhurst, 39-37, on Dec. 1, 2007 in Kansas City, Mo.Â
SCORING THE BALL - Lewis' has tallied six victories scoring at least 90 points this season, which is the most since the 1988-89 squad posted seven of their own.Â
MOVING UP THE POLL - Lewis holds steady at No. 15 in the USA Today Sports Division II Coaches Poll released on Tuesday (Feb. 17).Â
TOP OF THE GLVC - Lewis tops the GLVC in rebounds, averaging 43.7 rebounds-per-game, and is 13th nationally in blocked shots, swatting 4.9 shots-per-game.Â
FLYING TO THE TOP – Brawner-Henley leads the country with 19 double-doubles in 23 contests this season, while ranking third nationally and leading the GLVC in rebounds, averaging 12.3 boards-per-game. The forward is also paces the GLVC in points (18.5 ppg.).Â
SOPHOMORE SHINING BRIGHT – Brawner-Henley is the first Flyer to average a double-double since Julie Fruendt completed the 1983-84 season averaging 18.9 points and 10.1 rebounds.Â
FINDING WHO'S OPEN - The Flyers, who lead the GLVC and are 14th nationally in assists averaging 17.4 helpers-per-game, dished out a season-high 26 assists against both Southern Indiana (Jan. 23) and at Indianapolis (Jan. 30).Â
BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER - Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic), who has started in all 23 contests, leads the GLVC averaging 35.4 minutes-per-game. Johnson missed the entire 2012-13 campaign due to a knee injury. She second in the GLVC and is 15th nationally in free throw percentage, hitting 85-of-95 (89.5%) shots from the charity stripe for the Flyers.
SHARING THE ROCK – Nellen second in the conference and is 15th nationally in assists, dishing out 5.1 assists-per-game while Johnson is fifth in the GLVC, averaging 4.3 helpers-per-game.
FLYERS WITH 20-POINTS IN A GAME – Lewis has had seven contests this season with at least two players scoring 20 points, the most since the 1989-90 squad, which tallied nine games with a pair of teammates with 20 points.
DOUBLE-TROUBLE – Brawner-Henley and Jess Reinhart (Normal, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) have both collected double-doubles in the same game three times this season. The frontcourt duo posted double-doubles against Purdue Calumet (Dec. 7), Indianapolis (Jan. 30) and Rockhurst (Feb. 6).
DISHING DIMES - Nellen's 11 points and 10 assists against USI (Jan. 23) marked the first time since the 1986-87 season that a Flyer has collected a double-double in such a way since Rosemary Turner tallied 14 points and 11 assists in the Flyers 88-65 loss to Wright State on Dec. 16, 1986.
GUARDING AGAINST THE THREES - The Flyers are second in the GLVC defending against three-pointers, holding opponents to 29.6% (118-of-398) from beyond the arc.
20-WIN SEASONS - With a win over UIS, it will be the eighth time in program history the Flyers have won at least 20 contests in a season. It also marks the first time since the 1983-84 (21-8) and 1984-85 (22-7) seasons the Flyers have collected back-to-back 20-win seasons, which were both GLVC Championship title seasons under head coach Kathy Kissinger.
