Romeoville, Ill. - UW-Parkside senior Eric Moser scored the game-winning goal in the 58th minute to lift the visiting Rangers to the 1-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the Lewis University men's soccer team in the season finale at Lewis Stadium on Wednesday (Oct. 28) night.
Moser gathered in a loose ball at the 20-yard line and blasted a rocket past Lewis goalkeeper
Aaron Menyes (Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove North) for the game's lone score.
With the victory, UW-Parkside finishes the season with a record of 6-8-3 overall and 6-6-3 in GLVC action. The Flyers end the 2015 campaign with an overall mark of 1-15-1 and a conference record of 1-13-1.
UW-Parkside goalkeeper Remi Bibal earned the shutout, as the Rangers did not allow a shot on goal. Menyes made six stops for the Flyers.
Lewis outshot UW-Parkside, 11-10, but the Rangers held a 7-0 advantage in shots on goal.
