Mariyah Brawner-Henley (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) scoring 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the first half.
Brawner-Henley tied a career-high with 31 points. She shot 12-of-18 from the floor with a 3-pointer and 11 rebounds. Brawner-Henley now owns 1,034 career rebounds. She is 10 shy of setting a new Lewis school record.

Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) added 19 points, making 8-of-11 shots. They were two of Lewis' four players in double-digits. Redshirt freshman
Kayla Brewer (Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee School of Languages) and junior
Alyssa Siwek (Palos Heights, Ill./Mother McAuley) each added 11 points. Siwek totaled a career-high nine assists.
"Jess was her usual unbelievable self," Gillespie said. "Our guards played very well."
The Flyers out-shot the Warriors 61.8 percent to 42.6 percent.
Wayne State never held a lead in the game, with Lewis' largest lead coming in the fourth quarter of 25 points.
Lewis' best assist of the day came prior to the game, when the team delievered gifts and donations to a Detroit household through an adopt a family program.
"The players donated their own money, wrapped the gifts and delivered them this morning," Gillespie said. "I'm very proud of them."
Lewis improves to 10-1. Wayne State falls to 5-4. The Flyers take an extended break before returning to the court on Dec. 30 vs. Cumberland in a 5:30 p.m. start at Neil Carey Arena.
