Lewis Women's Swimming Drops Meet To Grand Valley State, 180-51

The Flyers register three second-place finishes against the Lakers.

ALLENDALE, MICH. - The Lewis University women's swimming team netted three runner-up finishes as the Flyers dropped a 180-51 decision to Grand Valley State on Friday (Oct. 21) evening.

Flyer senior Sarah Cameron (Brownstone, Mich./Carlson) accounted for two of those second-place showings as she was a runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.18) and as a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:21.79).

Joining her on the relay were seniors Kinsey Coble (Lafayette, Ind./Jefferson), Brittany Kamper (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) and redshirt junior Shannon Sullivan (Elmhurst, Ill./York ).


Senior Kaitlyn Yearout (Ocala, Fla. /Trinity Catholic) recorded a time of 2:17.55 for a second-place finish in the 200-yard IM.

The Flyers (2-3) are back in action on Friday (Nov. 4) in Indianapolis for a Great Lakes Valley Conference double dual meet against Indianapolis and McKendree. Action is set to begin at 6 PM ET.
