Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 16 Lewis University women's volleyball team dropped its third five-setter in its last four matches, as McKendree claimed the 25-18, 18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-11 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over the host Flyers at Neil Carey Arena on Friday (Oct. 21) night. The win moves McKendree into a first-place tie with the Flyers in the GLVC East Division.
With the win, McKendree improves to 14-8 overall and 9-1 in GLVC action, while the Flyers are now 16-6 on the campaign and 9-1 in conference play.
Lewis sophomore outside hitter
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) collected her seventh-straight double-double with 17 kills and 16 digs to lead the Flyers. The Flyers also received a double-double of 14 kills and 10 digs from freshman outside hitter

Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) had a match-high 41 assists, while redshirt libero
Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) registered a match-high 21 digs. Lewis senior defensive specialist
Carolyn Nojiri (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) had 13 digs in the loss.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 22), as the Flyers welcome Illinois Springfield to Neil Carey Arena for Alumni Day. First serve is set for 3 PM.
