Liberty, Mo. - Lewis University's trio of
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central),
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) and
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) combined for more kills (33) than William Jewell's entire team, as the No. 19 women's volleyball team defeated the host Cardinals, 25-16, 25-21, 25-18 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match-up on Friday (Oct. 28) night.
Hyland registered a match-high 12 kills and hit .320 (12 kills, 4 errors, 25 attacks), followed by 11 putaways from Seliga and 10 kills from Schneider. William Jewell had 29 kills as a team.
With the win, Lewis improves to 18-6 overall and 11-1 in GLVC action, while the Cardinals drop to 11-14 on the campaign and 4-8 in conference play.

Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) had 16 digs.
As a team, Lewis hit .318 (48 kills, 14 errors, 107 attacks), while William Jewell managed to hit just .097 (29 kills, 19 errors, 103 attacks).
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 29), as the Flyers head to Kansas City for a 3 PM match-up against No. 25 Rockhurst.
