Complete Swim Meet Results
Romeoville, Ill. - Saturday afternoon the Lewis University women's swim team was able to beat both Findlay and Hillsdale in head to head competition. The Flyers beat the University of Findlay 128-77 and beat Hillsdale College 135-69.50.
Shannon Sullivan (Elmhurst, Ill./York ) had a good individual performance in the 100 and 200 freestyle (53.71 and 1:56.24) finishing first in both. Head Swim Coach
Roger Karns said of Sullivan, "Her excellent swims in her individual events may have been surpassed by her strong come from behind anchor leg on the 400 Free Relay." The team was able to take first in the 400 yard freestyle (3:39.48) thanks to great swimming from
Kinsey Coble (Lafayette, Ind./Jefferson),
Courtney Duy (Buckeye, Ariz./Millennium),
Brittany Kamper (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg), and Sullivan. Coach Karns gave credit to the relay team saying, "Kinsey, Brittany, and Courtney did a great job keeping Shannon in range and she jumped on the opportunity."
Coach Karns also spoke highly of
Kaitlyn Yearout (Ocala, Fla. /Trinity Catholic) who won in back to back races of the 200 IM (2:15.67) and 100 butterfly (1:00.84).
The next meet will be November 18 in Indianapolis, Indiana for the House of Champions meet.
