Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 20 Lewis University women's basketball team led from wire-to-wire in the 82-60 regional victory over Upper Iowa in the Flyers' home opener at Neil Carey Arena on Wednesday (Nov. 16) night.

Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) led the charge for the Flyers with a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds - both game-highs - on 9-for-12 shooting from the floor. Flyer senior guard
Alyssa Siwek (Palos Heights, Ill./Mother McAuley) drained three trifectas and finished with 11 points and a game-high six assists.
With the victory, Lewis improves to 2-1 on the campaign, while the visiting Peacocks fall to 0-3 overall.
The Flyers shot 46.5% (33-for-71) from the floor and enjoyed a 40-18 advantage in points in the paint over the Peacocks. Lewis dominated the glass, outrebounding Upper Iowa, 44-30, with 15 offensive rebounds. Those caroms led to 23 second-chance points for the Flyers.
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Nov. 18), as they head to West Virginia for a 5:30 PM ET tip-off against Alderson Broaddus.
