Phillipi, WV - The No. 20 Lewis University women's basketball team made short work of Alderson Broaddus, as the visiting Flyers cruised to the 79-34 regional victory over the Battlers at Rex Pyles Arena on Friday (Nov. 18) evening.
Lewis sophomore forward
Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) converted 9-of-11 field goal attempts to finish with 23 points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes of action.
The Flyers matched Alderson Broaddus' 34 points in the first half alone and their second half output of 35 points would have defeated the Battlers.
With the win, Lewis improves to 3-1 on the season, while the Battlers fall to 0-3 on the campaign.
Lewis freshman forward
Rachel Hinders (Johnston, Iowa/Johnston) had eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds, as the Flyers enjoyed a sizeable 45-21 advantage on the glass over Alderson Broaddus.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Nov. 19), as the Flyers head to Elkins, West Virginia for a 2 PM ET showdown with Davis & Elkins.
