Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University sophomore guard
Delaney Blaylock (Wyoming, Mich./Godwin Heights) connected on his first eight shots and finished with a game-high 22 points and seven rebounds in the Flyer men's basketball team's 78-68 regional victory over Hillsdale at Neil Carey Arena on Tuesday (Nov. 22) night.
Blaylock went 8-for-11 from the field and added three three-pointers in the win.
Lewis senior guards
Miles Simelton (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) and
Capel Henshaw (Harrisburg, Ill./Harrisburg) combined for 33 points and six three-pointers. Simelton finished with 19 points and two treys, while Henshaw knocked down four trifectas and finished with 14 points.
With the win, Lewis improves to 2-3 on the campaign, while the visiting Chargers drop to 3-1.
Lewis shot a season-best 48.1% (26-for-54) against Hillsdale, including a season-best nine three-pointers and 50.0% (9-for-18) three-point field goal percentage. The Flyers forced a season-high 17 turnovers, while committing just nine miscues of their own.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Nov. 26), as the Flyers head to Detroit for a 3 PM ET tip-off against Wayne State.
