Detroit, Mich. - The Lewis University men's basketball team dropped its second overtime contest of the season, as Wayne State outlasted the visiting Flyers for the 74-70 (OT) regional win at the Matthaei Center on Saturday (Nov. 26) afternoon.

Nick Norton (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) topped the Flyers with 19 points, including four three-pointers, while senior guard
Miles Simelton (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) and sophomore swingman
Delaney Blaylock (Wyoming, Mich./Godwin Heights) each posted 14 points in the loss. Blaylock had a team-best seven rebounds and also added three trifectas.
With the win, Wayne State improves to 3-1 on the campaign, while the Flyers fall to 2-4.
Wayne State had a decided advantage at the free throw line, as the Warriors were 18-for-23 from the charity stripe, while the Flyers were 6-for-9. Wayne State also held a 14-0 advantage over Lewis in fast break points.
Lewis opens Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Thursday (Dec. 1), as the Flyers welcome Saint Joseph's to Neil Carey Arena for a 7:30 PM tip-off.
