Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) each scored 20+ points to help the No. 20 Flyer women's basketball team extend its winning streak to four games with the 80-58 regional win over Northwood University at Neil Carey Arena on Tuesday (Nov. 22) night.
Johnson scored a game-high 24 points on 8-for-14 shooting, including two three-pointers, while Kelliher was 9-for-14 from the floor and finished with 22 points and six rebounds.
The Flyers also received 10 points and a team-best four assists off of the bench from sophomore guard
Gabby Green (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI).
With the win, Lewis improves to 5-1 on the campaign, while the visiting Timberwolves fall to 2-1 on the season.
Lewis was solid defensively as they held Northwood to a 31.5% (17-for-54) shooting performance and forced 14 turnovers that led to 17 Flyer points. The Flyers shot 51.7% (30-for-58) from the floor and held a 38-18 advantage over Northwood in points in the paint.
Lewis returns to action on Sunday (Nov. 27) in a regional contest in Big Rapids, Mich., with a 1 PM ET tip-off against Ferris State.
