Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 18 Lewis University women's volleyball team recorded a robust hitting percentage of .381 (48 kills, 8 errors, 105 attacks) on its way to the 25-11, 25-16, 25-17 Great Lakes Valley Conference sweep over Quincy University at Neil Carey Arena on Saturday (Nov. 5) afternoon.
The Flyers, led by a double-double of 15 kills and 12 digs from sophomore outside hitter
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central), had 48 kills to Quincy's 24 putaways. The Hawks were held to a hitting percentage of .045 (24 kills, 19 errors, 111 attacks).
With the win, Lewis improves to 21-6 on the campaign and 14-1 in conference play, while the Hawks are now 16-11 overall and 10-5 in conference action.
