Big Rapids, Mich. - The No. 18 Lewis University women's volleyball team advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament Semifinals for the second-straight season with a 25-27, 25-21, 25-21, 25-16 victory over sixth-seeded Ashland University at Ferris State's Jim Wink Arena on Thursday (Dec. 1).
With the win, Lewis improves to 26-7 on the campaign and takes on seventh-seeded Cedarville at 5 PM ET on Friday (Dec. 2) in the regional semifinals. Ashland ends its season with a record of 23-11.

Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) topped the Flyers with a double-double of 15 kills and 11 digs.

Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) and freshman outside hitter
Alexandra Preuss (Elmhurst, Ill./York) combined for 23 kills and a hitting percentage of .360 (23 kills, 5 errors, 50 attacks). Schneider totaled 12 kills and a .375 (12-3-24) hitting percentage, while Preuss had 11 kills and hit .346 (11-2-26) in the win.

Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) turned in a dominant performance with 49 assists, seven digs, four block assists and eight kills with a hitting percentage of .800 (8-0-10). Lewis redshirt senior libero
Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) recorded a match-high 16 digs for the Flyers.
As a team, Lewis hit .350 (65-17-137) and had less hitting errors in its final three games (8) than the Flyers had in the opening set (9).
