Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma), the No. 39 Lewis University men's tennis team fell short against Walsh, dropping a 5-4 regional decision to the Cavaliers at the Five Star Tennis Center on Thursday (March 24).
With the win, the Cavaliers improve to 7-5 on the season, while the Flyers fall to 6-5 on the campaign.
At No. 1 doubles, Srdanovic and Braschinsky earned the 8-6 victory over Walsh's Vasiliy Vidmanov and Ross Whittaker. Srdanovic later claimed the 6-0, 6-4 win over Whittaker at No. 1 singles, while Braschinsky downed Vidmanov 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.
Lewis' other victory came from freshman
Anton Levitin (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove). Levitin picked up the 6-2, 6-2 victory against Walsh's Jose Fernandez at No. 6 singles.
The Flyers return to action on Friday (March 25), as they host Tiffin at the Five Star Tennis Center in Plainfield, Ill. First serve is set for 8 AM.
