Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 18 Lewis University women's volleyball team made short work of its opponents on Thursday (Sept. 1), as the Flyers swept both Michigan Tech (25-8, 25-22, 25-14) and No. 3 Palm Beach Atlantic (25-18, 25-11, 25-13).
  Lewis improves to 2-0 on the season, while Michigan Tech and Palm Beach Atlantic each drop to 0-1 on the campaign.
  Lewis is back in action on Saturday (Sept. 3), as the Flyers take on both No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State (11:30 AM) and Central Washington (7:30 PM)

  Lewis recorded 11 aces and hit .329 (38 kills, 11 errors, 82 attacks) in the three-game sweep of the Huskies.
  Flyer junior right side hitter
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) notched a match-high 11 kills and hit .435 (11-1-23) in the victory, while teammate
Bailey Sparkman (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell) collected a career-high 10 kills and hit .421 (10-2-19) on the afternoon.

Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) had a match-high 15 digs, followed by 13 digs from sophomore outside hitter
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) had 13 digs. Redshirt sophomore
Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) recorded a match-high 30 assists.

  Seliga continued her solid play against the Sailfish with a double-double of 13 kills and 14 digs, while junior middle hitter
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) had 11 kills. The duo combined to hit .411 (24 kills, 3 errors, 51 attacks) on the evening.
  Yuede picked up a match-high 19 digs, while Hyland added 11 digs of her own in the victory. Becker assisted on 42 of Lewis' 49 kills, while Palm Beach Atlantic only had 18 kills as a team.
