Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) recorded a match-high 20 kills and added eight block assists as the No. 15 Flyers picked up the 25-20, 25-17, 24-26, 25-11 over Missouri S&T in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener at the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building on Friday (Sept. 16) night.

Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) picked up a double-double of 15 kills and 17 digs in the win, while redshirt sophomore setter
Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) collected a match-high 47 assists. Flyer redshirt senior
Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) racked up a match-high 23 digs.
With the win, Lewis improves to 6-3 on the campaign and 1-0 in GLVC action, while the host Miners fall to 3-6 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Lewis was solid defensively, as they held the Miners to a hitting percentage of .101 (42-28-159) and also recorded 30 block assists in the victory.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 17), as the Flyers square off with Drury in Springfield, Mo. First serve is set for 3 PM.
