Romeoville, Ill. - No. 22 Drury University scored two first half goals and those scores stood up, as the Panthers held on for the 2-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the Lewis University men's soccer team at Lewis Stadium on Friday (Sept. 16) night.
Drury received goals from Antoine Vial (14') and Ben Bruce (40') in the opening half.
With the win, Drury improves to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in GLVC action, while the host Flyers fall to 1-4 on the campaign and 0-3 in conference play.

Timm Adler (Frankenthal Rheinland-Pfalz Germany/Karolinen-Gymnasium Frankenthal) cut Drury's lead in half in the 68th minute as he scored off a feed from senior midfielder
Nicholas Monteiro (Brasillia, Brazil/School of the Nations). It was the first goal scored on the Panther defense all season.
Lewis returns to action on Sunday (Sept. 18) against Missouri S&T. Kickoff is set for 12 PM at Lewis Stadium.
