Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 15 Lewis University women's volleyball team - led by three players with at least 12 kills - earned the 25-16, 19-25, 25-12, 25-13 win over Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division leader, Missouri-St. Louis at Neil Carey Arena on Friday (Sept. 23).
Lewis junior middle hitter
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) recorded 13 kills with a hitting percentage of .524 (13-2-21), while outside hitters
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) and
Alexandra Preuss (Elmhurst, Ill./York) each collected double-doubles in the Flyer win. Hyland had 13 kills and 10 digs, while Preuss notched 12 kills and 10 digs.
With the win, Lewis improves to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in GLVC play, while the visiting Tritons drop to 7-3 on the campaign and 2-1 in conference action.

Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) had a match-high 23 digs, while redshirt junior
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) had seven kills and 12 digs. Flyer redshirt sophomore setter
Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) had 45 assists and seven digs.
For the match, Lewis had 53 kills to UMSL's 28 putaways and held the Tritons to a .056 (28-21-126) hitting percentage.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 24), as the Flyers welcome Maryville to Neil Carey Arena. First serve is set for 3 PM.
