Romeoville, Ill. - McKendree University sophomore forward Sydnee Carroll's first half goal stood up as the visiting Bearcats earned the 1-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the Lewis University women's soccer team at Lewis Stadium on Friday (Sept. 30) night.

Carroll scored the winning goal in the 30th minute for the Bearcats.

With the win, McKendree improves to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in GLVC play, while the Flyers are now 4-5-1 on the campaign and 2-4-1 in conference action.

Lewis returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 2), as the Flyers welcome Illinois Springfield to Lewis Stadium for a 2:30 PM kickoff.
