Rensselaer, Ind. - The No. 14 Lewis University women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to six matches, as the Flyers defeated both Saint Joseph's (25-20, 25-15, 25-13) and Kentucky State (25-8, 25-14, 25-18) at Scharf Fieldhouse on Friday (Sept. 30) night.
With the victories, Lewis improves to 11-3 and 5-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, while Saint Joseph's is now 2-11 on the campaign and 0-5 in conference action. Kentucky State falls to 12-8 on the season.Â
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 1) as they battle Indianapolis. First serve is set for 3 PM ET.

Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) and redshirt junior right side attacker
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) combined for 21 kills in the three-game sweep of the Pumas. Hyland notched a match-high 11 kills, while Seliga collected 10 putaways. Saint Joseph's had 23 kills as a team.

Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) had a match-high 33 assists, while redshirt senior libero
Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) had a match-high 19 digs.

 As a team, Lewis hit .330 (43-11-97), while the Pumas had a hitting percentage of .038 (23-19-104).

Bailey Sparkman (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell) picked up a match-high 14 kills and hit .522 (14-2-23) in the three-game sweep of the Thorobreds.
Becker added a match-high 29 assists, while Yuede picked up a match-high 13 digs for the Flyers.
As a team, Lewis hit .363 (46-9-102) while the Thorobreds managed to hit .021 (20-18-96).
