Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University sophomore forward
Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) converted the game-winning lay-up with three seconds remaining to lift the No. 19 Flyer women's basketball team to the 70-68 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Missouri-St. Louis at Neil Carey Arena on Thursday (Jan. 12) night.
Kelliher finished with a game-high 25 points on 9-for-11 shooting, including a 7-for-11 performance from the free throw line.
The Flyers also received 13 points and three trifectas from redshirt senior guard
Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) and 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds from freshman forward

With the win, Lewis improves to 13-3 on the campaign and 5-1 in GLVC action, while the visiting Tritons fall to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Kelliher's performance helped Lewis down low, as the Flyers outscored UMSL, 42-20, in points in the paint.
Lewis shot 54.0% (27-for-50) from the field and 50% (4-for-8) from three-point land, while UMSL knocked down 40% (22-for-55) of its shots and 34.8% (8-for-23) of its three-pointers. The Flyers did not shoot less than 50% in any of the four quarters.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 14) as the Flyers welcome Maryville to Neil Carey Arena for a 1 PM tip-off.
