Springfield, Mo. - The 18-game Great Lakes Valley Conference road winning streak came to an end for the No. 16 Lewis University women's basketball team, as No. 12 Drury University earned the 70-54 victory over the visiting Flyers on Saturday (Jan. 7) afternoon.

Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) led the Flyers with a game-high 21 points, while sophomore forward
Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) pitched in 11 points and nine rebounds.
With the win, Drury improves to 13-2 on the campaign and 5-0 in conference play, while the Flyers fall to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in GLVC action. The GLVC road loss is the Flyers' first since the same Panthers defeated Lewis, 89-70, on February 15, 2014.
The turning point came in the third quarter, as Drury outscored Lewis, 23-11. The Flyers were also done in by 19 turnovers that led to Drury scoring 30 points off of the miscues.
Lewis returns to GLVC action on Thursday (Jan. 12), as the Flyers welcome Missouri-St. Louis to Neil Carey Arena for a 5:30 PM tip-off.
